The New Google

Still Googling up everything you need to search on the web? If so, you are not taking advantage of the new, more visual alternatives. Visual is good! I found two recently that blew me away. A very different search engine is Amaztype. Just type in the name of an actor, author or musician, pick a media format, click and prepare to say, "F-Yeah!" Then, don't forget to click on any part of what appears before you. Who knows ... you may actually wanna buy something. Another cool search option is Grokker, which allows you to check out Yahoo search results in the form of visual maps, which contain web links, and of course ad placements, broken down into sub-categories. Sweet! What do I want in a search engine? I want a search engine that could watch the web for me. It could keep its eyes peeled for bargains, for specific news triggers, or whatever I want . . . and then send me an email—or buys something for me— when it finds what I want. That would be sweeeeeet!
